This mini album is a really great xmas decoration gift for anyone. They can fill it up with xmas pictures then set it on a table or something similar to show off those pictures. The inside accoradian allows the album to sit up when opened. The album itself is also very quick to put together. The embellishments is what takes a little bit of time and personalization. Have fun with this one!!
Supplies
1 - 12x12 pattern cardstock
5 - 8 1/2x11 colored cardstock (2 sheets in 1 color, and 2 other colors,
ie. 2 green, 1 burgandy, 2 grey)
1 - piece of grosgrain ribbon of your choice to go around the entire outside of
the book and tie it closed with
- Any embellishments which you desire
Instructions
Cover:
1. Cut the 12"x12" sheet at 12"x6" and 6"x6"
2. Score the 12"x6" at 5.5",6", and 11.5". Score one of the 6"x6" sheets at 5.5"
3. Fold the pieces on each score line. Adhere the cover together overlapping at
the 1/2" fold on each piece.
Inside Accordian:
1. The accordian is made with 2 sheets of 8 1/2"x11". Cut one sheet 10.5"x6". Score that sheet at 5" and 10".
2. Cut the 2nd sheet at 10"x6". Score at 5".
3. Fold each piece and adhere the 2 pieces together over the 1/2" fold.
4. Adhere the accordian to the center of the inside of the book.
5. The extra 8.5"x11" sheets are used as mats in the album. Cut sheets at 4"x5". You will need 4 mats of one color and 5 mats of another color. Adhere one mat to each Square of the inside accordian and inside cover
6. Embellish your album as desired.
